About Us

Jarvie Property Acquisitions, Inc was founded in 2002 as Retail Endeavors Group based in Austin, Texas. Led by founder David Jarvie, Retail Endeavors Group developed over $120MM worth of greenfield commercial, industrial, and retail projects through 2009. In 2009, Jarvie renamed the company to Jarvie Property Acquisitions (JPA) and relocated the company to California. Along with its new name and location, the company expanded its focus from pure development to acquisition and management of income- producing assets in the office, retail, and industrial segments. JPA is privately owned and currently owns and manages in excess of $100M worth of assets located in Florida, Texas and Arizona. 

KEY PERSONNEL

David Jarvie, Founder and President

Mr. Jarvie has invested in real estate his entire life. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1984 and started his professional career at The Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas. At Dow, his first job was in a research lab, but he ultimately found himself managing large capital projects and production facilities. Reinforcing this shift from science to business and project management, David completed the Management Program at Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business. He left Dow in 1993 to join Aspen Technology where he helped lead the growth of their Houston office from 9 to 450 employees over 9 years.

David’s passion has always been in real estate and real estate development.  He purchased his first apartment complex at the age of 23 and earned his Texas real estate license in 1988 (now inactive). After two years of developing and general contracting the construction of townhomes in Houston, in 2002, he formed Retail Endeavors Group. Retail Endeavors Group developed single tenant big box retail, corporate offices, distribution centers as well as various shopping centers. Retail Endeavors Group successfully developed in excess of $120MM of retail and industrial/office development in its first seven years of existence.

In 2009, the company was re-named Jarvie Property Acquisitions (JPA) and the firm was relocated to California.  In addition to his responsibilities with JPA, David is an Advisor to Greenhouse Capital Partners, sits on the board of several privately held companies, and is a Managing Partner for Anytime Storage. In addition to work, David stays busy volunteering as the President of the Friends of the Academy of Music and Performing Arts and enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending as much time with his family as possible.
